Editing Music Video- 19/10/16
In Today's lesson we continued to edit the footage for our music video and we have began to add in the scenes we filmed yesterday into our music video. We are going to sync up all the footage that we have to the relevant beats and lyrics of the song and then we are going to remove and/or add footage in to make the video more appealing to our target audience. We are planning to add text into our video when our main actor is doing the film studio theme however we are going to leave that until we have all the footage so that we don't waste time adding text to the scene when we might not use certain areas.

Shooting Music Video- Film Studio & Street Scenes- 14/10/16

Team Meeting- 12/10/2016
We started to edit our music video, however when asking our teacher to review our progress so far she said that our video was out of focus which means that we are going to go back to the film studio and record in focus with more angles and then replace the out of focus scenes with the new ones. We also planned what type of cutscenes are going to go where in certain parts of the music video so that once we finish with the film studio we can immediately go into shooting the other scenes as quickly as possible to leave as much editing time as possible. We believe that the editing will take a long time with the ideas which we are planning to do, therefore we are going to work harder to complete preliminary tasks which are due as well as shooting the relevant shoots needed for our music video.

Team Meeting- 11/10/2016
After filming in the film studio on monday, we had a team meeting and throughout about what we could add to this scene that will make it more appealing to the audience and show evidence of our editing skills. We then decided to add text in the background of some of the important lyrics which was being performed by our main actor. We got this idea, not from our case studies, but from music that we have listened to, and seen, before on youtube. The videos which we are trying to base our idea on is called Daily Duppies...
In this video, the way the text comes into the black background is very effective and we believe that if we can do a similar idea in our film studio scene then it will look very appealing and will emphasise the lyrics being said in the song. Another idea which we were thinking of was to introduce some of the actors within the intro of the music video. The effect will be very quick and flow with the song; We got this idea from one of our case studies when I analysed Akon- Holiday, and at the beginning of the video, there was text saying the musician and directors name. We are planning to slow down some of the scenes into a freeze frame during the intro and then add in some text of a couple of the main actors stage names.

Practice Filming Session- Film Studio
10/10/1999
In Today's Lesson we went to the film studio to practice the lighting for one of the main scenes in the music video. Our intentions of the music video scene was to blackout the main actor's face so that only the outline of his body would be shown, however when we tried the lighting setup it did not make the effect that we wanted so we ended up doing the scene with a black background only. Due to the fact that we spent a lot of time experimenting with the lighting setup we were only able to record one angle for the music video, therefore as a team we are planning to go back to the film studio and record more angles so that there is a variety of footage to be used when it comes to editing.

Storyboards- Music Video
StoryBoards
As part of our pre- production for our music video, 'Cant Trust Anyone' we had to create various storyboards which illustrated majority of the main scenes which would go into our music video. Throughout each storyboard we described and drew out the specific actions to certain lyrics in the song so that we have a clear idea of what type of scene we want to have in the cutscenes at specific times in the video.

1. Our Cutscene is significant to our music video because the song revolves around what happens in the cutscene. In explanation: the song is titled "Can't Trust No One." As it seen above, we can tell clearly that there has been a betrayal. Arshyarn has been betrayed by Tyreek and beaten up by Tyreek and a friend of his. So overall our cutscene is one of the most important pieces of our video. Tyreek will wear a mask in this scene due to the fact that he is going to be in some of the music video cutscenes, therefore if he betrayed the main actor it would make no sense if he was in the cutscenes later on.
2. This is the skeleton of our music video, whereby Arshyarn (the main actor) will be walking down a street in a tracksuit lip syncing the full song. This scene will be recorded from several different angles when shooting for the music video so that when we edit we have a variety of angles and clips to choose from making the video more appealing to our target audience.
4. This is the scene whereby we are going to get members of the public to join in with the song and the music video. We are planning to get a variety of cultures to join into the song so that it shows that we are a community. Majority of the scenes with the public will be included during the chorus as it is the point of the music video which is the most public friendly and is the most easiest to understand.
5. This is during the chorus and the cutscenes which will be added to each lyric. We are planning to make the lyrics match the actions in some parts of the music video so that it will all be synced and will then encourage the meaning behind some of the main lyrics which is being repeated in the song.

Film Studio Booked- Mon10/10/2016
We are beginning the shooting of our music video on monday and we have booked the film studio at leyton sixth form college from 10:20- 11:30. In this scene, we are going to record the whole song with different camera angles and then we are going to add various parts of the song when editing the cutscenes later on in the production. For this shoot, we are going to wear alternate colours so that in the editing it will add a special effect which will stand out to our target audience. I am going to be wearing a grey tracksuit and my partner Ash is going to be wearing a black tracksuit. Throughout the video the 2 colours will alternate and we are also planning to black out our faces so that only the outline of us can be seen for the film studio scene.

Talent Release Form
In today's lesson i finished off all the details for our music video, such as the props, costumes etc. and then I began to edit and then print out our talent release forms so that our actors/students show valid proof that they give us permission to use them in our music video. This comes with a few added bonuses such as a copy of the music video.

Music Video Progess- 04/10/2016
Team Meeting
In today's lesson, as a team we discussed more ideas about what we are going to do in the music video and then recorded it down on various storyboards. We thought of the idea of doing a scene in the music video with suits to add to the effect of having a lot of variety in the costumes. It will represent how, we do not care about fake friends, and how we are now successful in the music scene and we have reached the top of the music scene.

PROGRESS ON PRE-PRODUCTION
This is some of the progress we have made in the pre-production schedule and we are beginning to list down team roles, costumes and permission from the actors that may feature in the music video. Once we have finished all the information we will begin to start filming.

Storyboard Progress
In today's lesson we began to do a storyboard to explain each of our scenes for our music video. We are planning to finish all of the storyboards in chronological order so that we can clearly identify when each scene goes in the music video and we know exactly what roles are expected when we begin to record the final video.
In this specific storyboard, we began to draw the opening cutscene to the music video and how Ash gets lied to by his friend Tyreek and then ends up setting him up.

Location Release Form
Location Release Form
We have edited location release forms and added in all the relevant information so that it applies to our music video and the locations that we are planning to use. This is an example of the location release form for the music video which we are going to film in on monday. We were given consent by the media department and we are using the film studio on monday as a test shoot for the main video. We will be experimenting with the lighting in the film studio to create various effects so that it makes the video more appealing to our target audience. Our location release form includes all the important information which will be needed such as, the team members names', our numbers and the time period of which we want to use the location. However, a lot of our scenes are going to be shot on the streets, or in public, therefore we will only be using the forms for a few locations but not many.
